賽事簡(jiǎn)介
智慧城市創(chuàng)新大賽（SCIC）旨在加強(qiáng)智慧城市和城市信息學(xué)領(lǐng)域的本科生、碩士生和博士生的學(xué)術(shù)好奇心和探究式學(xué)習(xí)。我們的目標(biāo)是培養(yǎng)下一代的研究人員和創(chuàng)新者。在SCIC下，學(xué)生將有機(jī)會(huì)在來(lái)自學(xué)術(shù)界和工業(yè)界的研究人員的指導(dǎo)和監(jiān)督下，開(kāi)展智慧城市和城市信息學(xué)領(lǐng)域的研究項(xiàng)目。在SCIC注冊(cè)的學(xué)生將自動(dòng)加入國(guó)際城市信息學(xué)會(huì)（ISUI），該學(xué)會(huì)組織和管理SCIC下的計(jì)劃和活動(dòng)。
大賽旨在幫助本科生、碩士生和博士生獲得研究經(jīng)驗(yàn)，讓他們從單純的知識(shí)"消費(fèi)者"轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)橹R(shí)的"創(chuàng)造者"。首先，研究工作可以點(diǎn)燃學(xué)術(shù)好奇心，這是一個(gè)知識(shí)分子的根本。其次，研究工作可以磨煉高階思維能力，如邏輯性和創(chuàng)造性思維。最后，隨著全世界對(duì)研究和創(chuàng)新的日益重視，研究經(jīng)驗(yàn)可以使學(xué)生探索更多的職業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)。
Smart Cities Innovation Competition(SCIC)aims to strengthen academic curiosity and enquiry-based learning among undergraduate,master and PhD students in the field of smart city and urban informatics.It is our objective to nurture the next generation researchers and innovators.Under SCIC,students will be given the opportunities to undertake research projects in the field of smart city and urban informatics under the guidance and supervision of staffs from academy and industry who are strong in research.Students enrolled in SCIC will be automatically admitted to the International Society of Urban Informatics(ISUI)which organizes and manages the programme and activities under SCIC.
There are many reasons to help undergraduate,master and PhD students gain research experience,transforming them from merely"consumers"of knowledge to"creators"of knowledge.First,research work can ignite academic curiosity which is the fundament of an intellectual.Second,research engagement can sharpen high-order thinking skills such as logical and creative thinking.Finally,with the growing emphasis on research and innovation worldwide,research experience can enable students to explore more career opportunities.

參賽方式
申請(qǐng)參加SCIC的主體可以：
?、儆蓪W(xué)生個(gè)人申請(qǐng)；
?、谟刹怀^(guò)3名學(xué)生組成的團(tuán)隊(duì)申請(qǐng)。（如果理由充分，可以例外地允許更多成員組成的團(tuán)隊(duì)）
Applications for admission to SCIC can be
?、賐y individual student;or
②by a well composed team normally of no more than 3 students(larger teams may be exceptionally allowed with sound justifications).

選擇導(dǎo)師的要求
?、賲①愅瑢W(xué)可以聯(lián)系任何大學(xué)的助理教授/研究助理教授或以上級(jí)別的學(xué)術(shù)人員；
?、趨①愅瑢W(xué)也可以選擇來(lái)自工業(yè)界的研發(fā)人員作為導(dǎo)師。導(dǎo)師符合資格標(biāo)準(zhǔn)如下：碩士畢業(yè)后在相關(guān)領(lǐng)域有5年工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)，或博士畢業(yè)后在相關(guān)領(lǐng)域有3年工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
①Students may contact any university academic staff at the level of Assistant Professor/Research Assistant Professor or above
?、赟tudents may also contact research&development staffs from industry can be chosen as supervisor as well,if they meet the qualification criterion,e.g.,5 years working experiences in the relevant field after master degree,or 3 years working experiences in the relevant field after PhD degree

獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)設(shè)置
根據(jù)對(duì)最終項(xiàng)目成果的評(píng)估，參加個(gè)人項(xiàng)目的學(xué)生和參加小組項(xiàng)目的學(xué)生（最多3人）將有機(jī)會(huì)獲得以下獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)：
一等獎(jiǎng)--至多2個(gè)項(xiàng)目
二等獎(jiǎng)--至多5個(gè)項(xiàng)目
三等獎(jiǎng)--至多10個(gè)項(xiàng)目
A SCIC prize will be awarded to student participating in an individual project and participating in a group project(up to 3 students)based on assessment of the final project outcomes.
First prize–up to 2 projects
Second prize–up to 5 projects
Third prize–up to 10 projects

參賽要求和后續(xù)機(jī)會(huì)
?、偕暾?qǐng)團(tuán)隊(duì)的所有成員在提交提案前應(yīng)是ISUI會(huì)員。如尚未加入ISUI會(huì)員，可以通過(guò)在線申請(qǐng)加入ISUI：

?、趨①愓咴谏暾?qǐng)參賽時(shí)必須是注冊(cè)學(xué)生。
?、蹍①愓吆罄m(xù)可以參加兩年一度的ICUI大會(huì)的人才交流活動(dòng)，參與ISUI最佳學(xué)生創(chuàng)新大賽的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)。
?、苊棵麑W(xué)生至多只能參加一個(gè)項(xiàng)目。
